World of Fashion in London and Paris

COURSE OVERVIEW

Explore the world of fashion through the creative streets of London and Paris, two of the most influential fashion capitals in the world. This immersive program allows students to discover how culture, history, and creativity shape the global fashion industry while developing their understanding of trends, styling, and personal expression.

From iconic department stores and vibrant shopping districts to vintage markets, local boutiques, and innovative concept stores, students will experience the many influences behind British and French fashion. Through hands-on activities and real-world exploration, students will gain a deeper appreciation for fashion as an art form, industry, and reflection of society.

FASHION AND TEXTILE MUSEUM IN LONDON

Explore the evolution of fashion through textiles, garments, and exhibitions that reveal how design, craftsmanship, and cultural trends have shaped the industry.

THE LOUVRE

Discover world-famous works of art and explore how history, creativity, and visual storytelling have influenced fashion and design across generations.

VINTAGE SHOPPING – PORTOBELLO ROAD MARKET

Browse one of London’s most iconic markets and uncover unique vintage pieces while exploring how past styles continue to inspire modern fashion trends.

EIFFEL TOWER

Experience one of Paris’s most recognizable landmarks while discovering the city’s connection to creativity, design, and global fashion influence.

WINDOW SHOPPING ON THE CHAMPS-ELYSEES

Stroll along one of the world’s most famous avenues and discover the luxury brands, fashion houses, and trends that define Parisian style.

MANDATORY DATES

Online Orientation and First Class
February 6
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Parents, students and teachers meet in the morning to review travel expectations and the itinerary. Teachers and students meet in the afternoon for their first class and to work on introductory assignments.

Independent Learning Online
February 7 - 19
Students will work independently to complete and submit assignments. Teachers will be available to answer questions through the online platform.

Pre-Trip Online Classes
February 20, 27, and March 6
(9:00 am - 3:30 pm) (synchronous)
Teachers and students will interact in mandatory online classes as students participate in direct teaching, group activities, discussions and presentations.

Travel
March 13 - 21
Experience the course firsthand and make real-world applications.

Post-Trip Online Classes
April 3
9:00 am - 12:00 pm (synchronous)
and April 10
(asynchronous)
Teachers are available to answer any questions during designated hours while students complete their summative assignment
