Travel through Lisbon, Porto, and surrounding regions as you discover how faith, tradition, and cultural exchange have shaped Portuguese society and influenced the wider world.
Throughout the program, students will visit historic monasteries, mosques, synagogues, and cultural landmarks that reflect centuries of religious diversity and global connections. Through guided experiences and immersive learning, students will examine major world religions, including Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, while exploring the relationship between culture, spirituality, and identity.
By engaging with Portugal’s remarkable cultural heritage firsthand, students will develop global awareness, critical thinking skills, and a deeper appreciation for the diversity of beliefs and traditions that shape our world.

Discover one of Portugal’s most iconic landmarks and explore how history, religion, and exploration are reflected in its remarkable architecture and design.
Step inside Porto’s historic Stock Exchange Palace and learn how commerce, culture, and international connections helped shape Portugal’s development.
Visit Lisbon’s historic synagogue and gain insight into the traditions, history, and enduring presence of Portugal’s Jewish community.
Learn about Islamic traditions and the role of the Muslim community in Portugal while exploring the importance of religious diversity in today’s world.
Parents, students and teachers meet in the morning to review travel expectations and the itinerary. Teachers and students meet in the afternoon for their first class and to work on introductory assignments.
Students will work independently to complete and submit assignments. Teachers will be available to answer questions through the online platform.
Teachers and students will interact in mandatory online classes as students participate in direct teaching, group activities, discussions and presentations.
