Canadian Geography
COURSE OVERVIEW
Experience the unique beauty of Ontario while studying Canadian Geography this summer. Learn about forest management, sustainability, and mapping as you explore dense forests, limestone caves, and shimmering lakefronts. Try your hand at archery, paddle boarding, kayaking, and a rope course.
Journey to the planetarium at Science North to participate in experiments about climate and learn about freshwater ecology. Venture to the unique scenic region of Manitoulin Island and the rocky cliffs of Bruce Island Peninsula. End your adventure off in the heart of downtown Toronto and enjoy the many attractions this rich and diverse city has to offer!

Camping in Algonquin Park
Enjoy beautiful hikes and nightly s’mores with your new friends.
Learn how to
Canoe
Learn new skills and maneuvers on the lakes of Northern Ontario. Spend time on the water discovering what the shores look like from a different perspective.
Dynamic Earth & Science North
Go underground and discover Northern Ontario’s geological and mining history.
Cup & Saucer
Hike
Head out to Manitoulin Island and hike the well known Cup & Saucer trail that ends in a beautiful look out over the land. Learn about the Indigenous peoples connection to this place.

MANDATORY DATES

9:00 am - 3:00 pmOnline Orientation and First Class
Parents, students and teachers meet in the morning to review travel expectations and the itinerary. Teachers and students meet in the afternoon for their first class and to work on introductory assignments.
