Canadian Geography
COURSE OVERVIEW
Explore the diverse landscapes of Ontario while studying Canadian Geography through an unforgettable summer adventure. From dense forests and limestone caves to freshwater ecosystems and dramatic lakefronts, discover how Canada’s physical geography shapes the environment and the communities that depend on it.
Learn about forest management, sustainability, climate, mapping, and freshwater ecology through hands-on experiences at Science North and across some of Ontario’s most unique natural regions. Venture to Manitoulin Island and the Bruce Peninsula while putting your skills to the test with kayaking, paddleboarding, archery, and a high-ropes course.
The journey wraps up in downtown Toronto, where you’ll experience the geography, culture, and urban landscape of Canada’s largest city. This program brings Canadian Geography beyond the classroom with a combination of outdoor adventure, hands-on learning, and exploration.

Explore Northern Ontario’s geology, climate, and natural environment through interactive exhibits and hands-on science experiences.

Hike the dramatic trails of Manitoulin Island and discover the unique landscapes, rock formations, and ecosystems of the Niagara Escarpment.

Explore Toronto’s waterfront and discover the relationship between the city’s urban landscape, lake environment, and surrounding geography.

Parents, students and teachers meet in the morning to review travel expectations and the itinerary. Teachers and students meet in the afternoon for their first class and to work on introductory assignments.
