COURSE OVERVIEW

Earn a high school credit in International Business while exploring New York City, one of the world’s leading centres of finance, innovation, and entrepreneurship. From global corporations to iconic financial institutions, students will gain firsthand insight into the industries, organizations, and leaders shaping today’s international economy.

Throughout the program, students will explore the heart of global business by visiting Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, and the 9/11 Memorial, while gaining an international perspective during a visit to the United Nations. Beyond the classroom, students will experience New York City’s world-famous culture through unforgettable Broadway performances and Times Square, creating an inspiring journey where business, leadership, and culture come together.

BROADWAY SHOW

Experience the excitement of Broadway with a world-class live performance in the heart of New York City’s renowned theatre district.

MANDATORY DATES

  • Online Orientation and First Class

  • February 6
    11:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • Parents, students and teachers meet in the morning to review travel expectations and the itinerary. Teachers and students meet in the afternoon for their first class and to work on introductory assignments.

  • Independent Learning Online

  • February 7 - 19
    (approx. 10 hours)

    *in total to be completed at any convenient time of the student’s choice

  • Students will work independently to complete and submit assignments. Teachers will be available to answer questions through the online platform.

  • Pre-Trip Online Classes

  • February 20, 27, and March 6
    9:00 am – 3:30 pm (synchronous)

  • Teachers and students will interact online as students participate in direct teaching, group activities, discussions and presentations.

  • Travel

  • March 14 – 20

  • Experience the course firsthand and make real-world applications.

  • Post-Trip Online Classes

  • April 3
    9:00 am – 12:00 pm (synchronous)
    and April 10 (asynchronous)

  • Teachers are available to answer any questions during designated hours while students complete their summative assignments.
