Civics and Careers March Break
COURSE OVERVIEW
Through the Civics and Careers program, you will discover how government, citizenship, and career planning extend far beyond the classroom as you travel through Ottawa, Montreal, and New York City. Explore Canada’s political institutions, experience French Canadian culture, and gain a global perspective by visiting one of the world’s most influential international cities. Along the way, you’ll examine what it means to be an engaged citizen and how your interests, skills, and future career can contribute to communities at the local, national, and global levels.
Learning comes to life through hands-on activities including writing and delivering campaign speeches, participating in Canadian civics simulations, exploring the power of photojournalism, and developing practical financial literacy skills. Beyond the classroom, unforgettable experiences like a dance party in Montreal and a Broadway performance in New York City make this an exciting and memorable March Break adventure.
