Biology in Costa Rica
COURSE OVERVIEW
Our adventure in Costa Rica brings us through a range of ecosystems and biodiversity zones. Approximately half a million different species live in Costa Rica, so you are guaranteed to see a number of them! We will keep on the lookout for sloths, different types of monkeys, lizards, hummingbirds, coatimundis and many more as we make our way from San Jose inland towards the Caribbean coast to Selva Verde Lodge, a reserve in the rainforest.
From there we travel to Arenal, home of the famous Arenal Volcano. Our last stop is Manuel Antonio, known for its amazing variety of flora and fauna, and whose beach has been described as one of the most beautiful in the world.
